Resolute Bay, population 198, is located 900 km to the south of Quttinirpaaq National Park, on the south coast of Cornwallis Island. It is the closest community to receive scheduled air service from Iqaluit.

Grise Fiord, population 148, is Canada’s most northerly permanent community. It is located 640 km south of Quttinirpaaq National Park, on the southern coast of Ellesmere Island. Access to Grise Fiord is from Resolute Bay via Kenn Borek Air.
