Living Things We Love to Hate, Grades 5 & 6 Field Trip, Le Buttereau, CBHNP

Cape Breton Highlands National Park offers extensive programming for schoolchildren from their first year in primary through to grade twelve. Park interpreters offer field trips in the park as well as class sessions.
Programmes such as puppet shows and beginner field trips introduce the younger children to their national park and build continually on their experience until high school at which time the students are encouraged to use their knowledge and critical thinking skills. Working closely with the curriculum, interpreters bring to the classroom the significance of Canada’s protected heritage areas and the importance of working together to ensure their continued protection.
