Camping Regulations & Procedures
Newman Sound Campground

For your enjoyment and safety, we ask that you respect the following:
General Regulations
- Check-out time is 11 am
- Check-in time is 2 pm
- Quiet Hours are from 11pm-7am
- Maximum occupancy per site is 21 nights
- Maximum of one family or 6 unrelated people per site
- Maximum of one vehicle and one camping unit per campsite
- Alcohol can be consumed on registered sites only
- Charcoal barbeques are not permitted at Newman Sound Campground
- Always keep a clean and tidy campsite
- Always use bear-proof garbage containers
- Soapy water must be disposed of in washrooms or dumping stations

Pets
- Pet are welcome but must be kept on a leash and supervised at all time
- Pets are not permitted on Sandy Pond beach and boardwalk
- Owners must scoop and dispose of pet waste
Biking in Newman Sound Campground

Bicycles
- Bicycles are permitted on park roads, in campgrounds, and on designated trails: Blue Hill West, Green Head Cove and Dunphy's Pond.
- Please yield to pedestrians and use caution when traveling on park roads
- Cyclists are reminded to avoid traveling through other visitors' campsites

Charcoal Barbeques
Due to a history of improperly disposed of charcoals, charcoal fuelled barbeques are prohibited in Newman Sound Campground. Safety is our number one priority.
