The Gros Morne Co-operating Association is a non-profit group of volunteers who support Gros Morne National Park through environmental education, conservation programs, recreational activities and community-based initiatives.

The Gros Morne Co-operating Association belongs to the Canadian Parks Partnership, a national association of 65 “Friends of the Parks” groups active in Canada’s national parks, provincial parks and historic sites. The associations are registered non-profit groups that promote and interpret the values of parks. All revenues are redirected into projects that enhance park visitor activities or conservation programs.

Would you like to become a member? Membership is open to anyone who supports the goals of the association. You can pick up a membership brochure at park facilities or sales outlets.

Gros Morne Co-operating Association Programs

  • The Association manages all public programming at the swimming pool that overlooks Rocky Harbour.
  • They sponsor the annual Beach Sweep.
  • The Association also manages an extensive system of cross-country ski trails : Trout River Pond trail, Wigwam Pond to Stuckless Pond trail, Visitor Centre trails, Berry Hill to Bakers Brook trail, and Shallow Bay trail.
  • The Gros Morne Co-operating Association operates sales outlets at the Gros Morne Discovery Centre , the Visitor Centre, and the Bonne Bay Marine Station in Norris Point.
