The Western Brook Pond tour is a 2.5 hour narrated cruise, (English and French) between massive billion-year-old cliffs. Ponds atop the plateau feed waterfalls that cascade into the park's largest lake. A moderate 3 km trail leads from parking lot to dock.
Two passenger tour boats operate on the pond, one tour boat carries up to 90 passengers and the other carries 70 passengers.
In July and August there are tours at 10 am, 1 pm, and 4 pm, with one tour daily at 1 pm in June and from September to mid-October. Departures depend on wind and weather conditions.
Dogs are not permitted on the boat.
For reservations, contact the Ocean View Motel, Rocky Harbour (709) 458-2016 or 1-888-458-2016
Other boat tours are offered in nearby communities and include tours of Bonne Bay and St. Pauls Inlet.
