Climate

Classified as "humid continental", the Park's climate is greatly influenced by the sea, with uniform precipitation and warm summers. Southwest winds prevail except during March and April when north westerlies predominate. Winds vary from an average of 22 km/hr in sheltered spots to 27 km/hr over open terrain.

Kouchibouguac National Park receives 45% of all possible sunshine. Sunless days occur only two days in 10 on an annual basis November, December and January are the least sunny months. In June, July and August some sunshine is felt on nine out of every 10 days.
