May 20

Board Game Night
From 7 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. at the kitchen shelter near site 200, there will be a variety of board games to choose from. Volunteers will be leading "Loup-garou" (Werewolf) in French and will offer an intro to the game starting at 6:45 p.m.

May 21

Treasure Hunt
Starting at 10 a.m. you can pick up your treasure map at the visitor reception center or at the South Kouchibouguac kiosk. An important clue will be unveiled at 1 p.m. You must finish your treasure hunt by 5 p.m. Prizes to be won! Winners will be announced at the music event.

Live music with Pierre and JF
From 7 p.m. to 9 p.m. at the outdoor theatre.

June 4

Let's Go Biking
Group departure to experience the Major Kollock mountain bike trail along with other trails in the Park. It is highly recommended to ride a mountain bike rather than a hybrid or a road bike. Participants wearing a bike helmet will receive a surprise. Departure from Pijeboogwek at 1 p.m.

June 10-12

Spring Star Fest
This year again we welcome volunteers from the Royal Astronomical Society of Canada in the Park! Imagine: you could plug your smart phone or your dslr camera to the telescope to take a picture of the night sky, the moon and planets! Most activities are weather dependant so don't hesitate to inquire before heading out the door. Activities will be held near site 194, except for "What's Up" presentations.

June 10 - From 11 a.m. to 4 p.m., solar observing. From 9 p.m. to 10 p.m., "What's Up" presentation in English, site to be determined. From 10 p.m. to midnight, sky observations with telescopes.
June 11 - From 11 a.m. until 4 p.m. solar observing. From 12 p.m. to 4 p.m., telescope clinic (bring yours if you don't know how to use it and let the experts show you how!) and Astrophotography Clinic. From 9 p.m. to 10 p.m., "What's Up" presentation in French, site to be determined. From 10 p.m. to midnight, night sky observing with the astronomers.
June 12 - From 10 a.m. to noon, solar observations.

Marche à la dune au clair de lune
French version of the Dune Moonlight Walk offered June 18. Meet at 10 p.m. at Kellys Beach white tent.

Dune Moonlight Walk
Dive 100 years into the past, in 1916, the last year in operation on the dune of the W.S.Loggie lobster cannery. Stories, legends and chills! Meet at Kellys Beach white tent at 10 p.m. Bring a flashlight and... your courage!

National Aboriginal Day
Wigwam Gathering at Callanders Beach. Meet at the wigwam. From 7 p.m. to 8 :30 p.m.

149th Canada Day!
Observation Rally with the Savoie family from Miramichi. Meet at Kellys Beach white tent, from 1:30 p.m. a.m. to 3:30 p.m. Prizes to be won!

It is the eve of the 150th anniversary of the Canadian Confederation! Test your knowledge at Kellys Beach white tent and enjoy fun games and a piece of cake, from 1:30 p.m. to 4 p.m. (pssst: come early if you want cake - quantity is limited!)

Bring your shovels and buckets, young and old, it's time to be creative at Kellys Beach on the ocean side. Registration starts at 1 p.m. The theme will be unveiled upon registration. Judges will circulate between 2:30 p.m. and 3:30 p.m. Prizes for participation and for the winners. Judging criteria: creativity, originality and good sportsmanship.

Christmas site decoration contest at South Kouchibouguac campground. Campers are invited to decorate their site! Fun prizes for most original. Judges will circulate between 1 p.m. and 4 p.m.
Note: Since the Park is a Dark Sky Preserve, no points will be awarded for lighting (Christmas lights or other)

National Acadian Day - Kouchibouguac's 2nd International Tintamarre
Come on over, from 10 a.m. to 10:30 a.m. and craft a noisemaker for the Tintamarre at the South Kouchibouguac white tent! At 10:30 a.m., take part in the Tintamarre. A Tintamarre is an Acadian tradition of walking through one's community, making noise with improvised instruments and other noisemakers.

Shorebird Survey
Shorebirds are found all along the coast at this time of the year. Along with an Environment Canada biologist, participate in an inventory in the Park. Meet at Kellys Beach white tent at 9:45 a.m. Activity will end at around noon.

Geocaching Event
Parks Canada and CacheUp NB invite you to experience geocaching in the Park. Meet at La Source, from noon until 5 p.m. First 400 participants to complete their Cacheport will receive a geocoin!

September 17 10k under 10 million stars
Walk or run the 10k loop starting at Pijeboogwek. Departure is at 8 p.m. For your convenience, bring a water bottle and a flashlight and maybe a glow stick or two!

Juniors (12 and under), registration between 9:45 a.m. - 10 a.m.

Judges will circulate between 2 p.m. and 4 p.m. Two categories: site originality and pumpkin carving. Winners will be announced during the live music event in the evening.
