Beaver Trail

Hiking Interpretive Panel Bench Distance: 1.4 km
Time: 30 - 60 minutes
Difficulty: Easy, flat terrain

This was a very popular self-guided trail in the past. There were beavers on this trail for about 10 years (1975 – 1985), after which they left because of a shortage of food. Have you ever wondered what happens in a forest after the beavers have left? Keep a look out for signs of beavers returning. The interpretive panels describe the beaver, its habits and its impact of the forest.

In season, orchids can be seen along the trail. The diversity of the trees and shrubs also attracts a wide variety of birds, both during the day and evening.
