Fundy National Park of Canada
Winter Camping
Have you ever spent a night in the great outdoors in the wintertime? In Fundy, you have a variety of locations and a variety of roof types. Check out these options:
Headquarters Campground
Campers with RVs and tents can still spend a night or two at Headquarters Campground. As the snow falls and the campsites fill in, only certain areas of the campground remain accessible in the winter. Upon arrival, select your site or area and register at the visitor centre or self-register at the campground kiosk. At the campground, you will have access to an enclosed kitchen shelter with a wood stove to warm-up and to prepare your meals. Keep in mind that the kitchen shelter is shared during the day with visitors using the sliding hill. The shelter has no electricity so we recommend that you bring a lantern for light during the evening. Drinking water and heated washrooms with showers are available.
- $15.70/unserviced site
- $23.50/electrical site (only available when there is no snow).
- No reservations required
Fundy Yurts
Fundy’s yurts offer a winter camping experience like no other. Fundy’s yurts are large circular structures supported by a wooden frame which is covered by a an insulating blanket and a vinyl exterior. The walls are topped with a cone-shaped roof. The propane stove keeps the yurt toasty warm in the winter months and the windows offer an excellent view of the Bay of Fundy as well as the harbour and the village of Alma. In the yurt, you will find most of the amenities of home but will need to bring your bedding, food, water, cooking pots, dishes and cutlery. Check the yurt page for more information on what to bring and what to expect.
- $90/night
- Reservations required
