Summary of Duties: The Canadian Rockies Hot Springs is searching for qualified candidates to works as Cleaners. We seek individuals who can work efficiently with variable workloads, and adapt to changing demands and priorities. Effective interpersonal skills are essential in this position given the amount of interaction with the public and other staff. The Hot Springs is open 7 days a week, so this position involves shift work, weekends, holidays, overtime, and works in adverse weather conditions.

The job requires the willingness and ability to perform physical and repetitive work, safely use and handle chemicals, and provide prompt and courteous service to the clients and Parks visitors. Cleaners are expected to inspect and clean Parks Canada administrative, operational and public use facilities as well as employee work areas, locker rooms, restrooms, and grounds (including litter picking, recycling, shovelling snow), wash, dry, fold and put away rental towels and suits. The work requires that employees be alert, conscientious and punctual.

SCREENING CRITERIA

Education:     Secondary school diploma according to provincial standards or equivalent

Language:     English Essential

Experience in:

  • Providing professional cleaning of commercial or institutional facilities 
  • Providing quality visitor service 
  • Working in a team orientated environment 
  • Cleaning procedures and safe product handling

Candidates are required to submit two (2) recent work references (names and contact numbers) as part of their application.
