Wapusk Leadership Camp 2013
Wapusk Leadership Camp © Parks Canada
The Wapusk Leadership Camp: Leaders for Our Planet offers the opportunity to experience one of Canada’s most remote national parks – Wapusk. Students spend time in Churchill, Manitoba, before flying to Wapusk National Park where they get to experience the natural and cultural wonders this park has to offer. The camp involves developing self-confidence, personal skills and having fun while learning and contributing to current research in the sub-arctic.
This year's camp has accepted 15 Manitoban students from Grade 11 (between the ages of 16 and 18) and will be happening from July 4 to 9.
Highlights of their adventure will be recorded in their blog. Check it out at
Students will also present "Our Wapusk Adventure in Churchill"
at the Parks Canada Visitor Centre on July 9.
For more information, call the camp coordinators Karyne or Heather at 204-675-8863.
