Riding Mountain Loppet & Family Fun Day – late February/early March
The Riding Mountain Loppet (a cross-country ski race) has distances for all ages and abilities, while the Family Fun Day has free outdoor activities the next day. For more information, visit the Friends of Riding Mountain National Park website: www.friendsofridingmountain.ca, or call 204-848-4037.

National Aboriginal Day - June 21st
Join us and experience Aboriginal culture through many displays, demonstrations and dancing.

Canada Day - July 1st
Come out and enjoy a variety of entertainment and children activities, hosted by Parks Canada and Friends of Riding Mountain National Park. Admission to Riding Mountain National Park is FREE of charge for this day.

Parks Day - 3rd Saturday in July
Join us and celebrate this special day with park staff and many others. There will be entertainment for all at the bandstand as well as other activities happening at the visitor centre.

International Christmas Bird Count – Christmas season
The Christmas Bird Count is a great event for learning about RMNP winter birds and contributing to science research. From dawn to dusk, the aim is to identify and count as many bird species as possible in a set area. To participate, call Ken Kingdon at 204-848-7240
