Yoho National Park

Self-Guided Activities

Xplorers Program

Parks Canada’s Xplorers program provides fun activities for families to learn about national parks and national historic sites. By completing a collector’s booklet, children will receive an achievement certificate and souvenir. Visit the Yoho National Park Visitor Centre in Field, B.C. or speak to a park interpreter.

Interpretive Signs and Exhibits

Interpretive signs and exhibits at visitor centres, viewpoints and trails reveal the stories behind the scenery. Watch for displays on the history, geology, plants, animals and ecology of the park.

Displays at the Spiral Tunnels Viewpoint on the Trans Canada Highway feature the story of the Spiral Tunnels and Kicking Horse Pass National Historic Site (open mid-May to mid-October).
