Step 1 – Getting to Vancouver or Victoria
Gulf Islands National Park Reserve is a short boat ride away from British Columbia’s two urban centres, Vancouver and Victoria. To get to these cities, consider travelling:
- By Bus: Both Vancouver and Victoria have regular Pacific Coach lines bus service.
- By Car
- By Plane
Step 2 – Getting to Gulf Islands National Park Reserve
By Drive-On Ferry
BC Ferries provides vehicle and passenger service to Mayne, Saturna and the Pender Islands. Once you arrive at the ferry terminal, you can only access park lands by driving or cycling.
By Walk-On Ferry
Sidney Spit is accessible during the summer months by a passenger ferry departing from the Town of Sidney. Visitors can access the ferry at the dock at the foot of Beacon Avenue. Click here for sailing schedule and pricing.
By Boat or Kayak
