How to Get Here

Step 1 – Getting to Vancouver or Victoria

Gulf Islands National Park Reserve is a short boat ride away from British Columbia’s two urban centres, Vancouver and Victoria. To get to these cities, consider travelling:

  • By Rail: VIA Rail has regular train service both to Victoria on Vancouver Island, and to Vancouver on the mainland.
  • By Bus: Both Vancouver and Victoria have regular Greyhound bus service.
  • By Car
  • By Plane

Step 2 – Getting to Gulf Islands National Park Reserve

By Drive-On Ferry

BC Ferries provides vehicle and passenger service to Mayne, Saturna and the Pender Islands. Once you arrive at the ferry terminal, you can only access park lands by driving or cycling.

By Walk-On Ferry

Sidney Spit is accessible during the summer months by a walking onto a ferry departing from the Town of Sidney.

Currently, the ferry is in the process of being tendered. Check back for updates on scheduling and fees for the summer months.

By Boat or Kayak
