Canada Day

July 1 (free admission)

Celebrate Canada’s birthday in Waterton Lakes National Park.

  • Bike parade, 10.30am. Meet in front of Waterton United Church at 10.00am. All are welcome!
  • Flag raising and $3 hot dog lunch, free lemonade and cake following the parade.
Parks Day

July 19 and July 20 

  • Star spotting - tips, tricks and tools to guide you through our spectacular night sky, Friday July 19 and Saturday July 20, 9pm-11pm. Meet at Cameron Bay picnic shelter (past Cameron Falls, adjacent to Townsite Campground).
  • Waterton's Walter B. Foster - stone mason, log builder and outdoorsman: grand opening of a special exhibit featuring photographs and memorabilia from Walter B. Foster who left a legacy of stone and logwork in Waterton, Saturday July 20, 11am. Meet at Waterton Natural History Association.
Waterton-Glacier International Peace Park Science and History Day

July 30, 9.30am-3.30pm, Community Building, Glacier National Park, U.S.A.

Learn what the scientists have been up to in Waterton & Glacier national parks. This event if free and open to the public. 

Knapweed Rodeo

Perseid Meteor Shower Star Gazing

Friday August 9 and Sunday August 11, 9.30pm-11pm, Maskinonge picnic area

Marvel at the year's most spectacular meteor shower.

Blackfoot Arts and Heritage Festival

August 20-22

Celebrate traditional and contemporary aboriginal dancing, music, art, and cuisine. Participate in an exhibition pow-wow at the Waterton Community Centre.
