Parks Day Weekend

Friday, July 17

2 p.m. Fun in the Sun at the Heritage Centre. Check out the sun through special telecopes and take a tour of the solar system.
8 p.m. Evening Theatre Programs: Blast to the Past at Falls Theatre; Night Sky National Park at Crandell Theatre.
9.15 p.m. NASA-Far Away the Falls Theatre. Check out the latest footage from Pluto courtesy of the NASA New Horizons mission.
10 p.m. Night Sky guided tour at Falls Theatre.

Saturday, July 18

1 p.m. Refreshments and face painting at the Heritage Centre (at the green space from 1 p.m. to 4 p.m.).
1 p.m Geocaching 101 at the Heritage Centre. Learn the basics of geocaching.
2 p.m. Kite-flying at the Community Kitchen.
2 p.m. Sun and Moon at the Heritage Centre. Check out the sun through special telescopes and get close to moon rocks from the NASA Apollo Mission.
8 p.m. Evening Theatre Programs: Staying Alive! Exploring Waterton at Falls Theatre; Birds, Bees, and Grizzlies: United for Nature at Crandell Theatre.
9.15 p.m. NASA-Far Away at Falls Theatre. Check out the latest footage from Pluto courtesy of the NASA New Horizons mission.
10 p.m. Night-sky guided tour at Falls Theatre.

Dress warmly, bring a blanket or chair and binoculars to enjoy the night sky.

Waterton-Glacier Science and History Day

In Glacier National Park (USA), July 28 

Parks Canada and the National Park Service (USA) invite you to  annual Waterton-Glacier Science and History Day. This year’s event is in Glacier National Park on Tuesday, July 28, from 9.30 a.m. until 3.30 p.m. at the West Glacier Community Building. The event is open to the public and free of charge. Science and History Day is a great way for people to hear the latest results from scientists and historians carrying out projects in and around the Waterton-Glacier International Peace Park.

Blackfoot Arts and Heritage Festival
