Sandy Beach Campground

Main campground (May to October)
Enjoy a true wilderness experience less than an hour east of Edmonton! Overlooking a picturesque marsh, Sandy Beach is a spectacular place to watch sunsets and starry skies. Nestled in the Astotin Lake Area, the campground is close to the beach, soccer field, playground, golf course and theatre during the months of July and August. Enjoy the nostalgia of camping in the very heart of Elk Island, where it all began back in 1906.

Sandy Beach Group Camping

(May to September)
Nestled in the Astotin Lake Area the group campground is close to the beach, soccer field, playground, golf course and theatre. Able to accommodate up to 60 people this is a great option for family reunions or company retreats. Enjoy the nostalgia of camping in the very
heart of Elk Island, where it all began back in 1906.Call 780-992-0017 to reserve.

Oster Lake Backcountry Tenting Area

(May to September)
Located on the west shore of Oster Lake in one of the most picturesque and serene areas of the park, this tenting only site provides a truly unique and wild camping experience. Oster Lake is a waterfowl sanctuary offering a place to catch a glimpse of plains bison, coyotes and many of the 250 species of birds found in the park. The site can accommodate up to 75 people but also offers a more intimate nature experience and can be reserved just for you! Call 780-922-5833 to reserve.
