Paddling on Astotin Lake (map) provides a unique opportunity to enjoy nature at its best. You may have the privilege of encountering Red-necked grebes, common loons, American white pelicans, double-crested cormorants, great blue herons, and a multitude of ducks. Remember that nesting birds are very sensitive to disturbance and should be viewed from a distance. Float your own boat or rent a canoe, kayak or stand up paddle board at the Astotin Lake Recreation area. A boat launch is available at the north end of the Astotin Lake Area.
Motorized boats are not permitted on Astotin Lake.
Fires and camping are not permitted on the islands of Astotin Lake.
Canoe Rental Hours of Operation are:
12:00PM – 8:30 PM on weekends from May through September.
