Beginning June 24th, enjoy an authentic Plains Cree Teepee camping experience in the Sandy Beach Campground!
Teepees sleep up to 6 people and sit on raised wooden platforms with comfortable cushioned surfaces. Each of the three Teepee campsites is equipped with a fire ring and picnic table. A rustic communal fire ring and seating is also available for
larger groups to enjoy.
Looking for a great group camping experience? Teepee camping can accommodate up to 18 people (6 people/teepee) in a treed private location, set apart from the rest of the campground. It’s a perfect place for a family reunion!

Teepee rates are $55.00/night.
The campsite includes:
- Teepee on a raised platform
- Sleeping mats (for up to 6 people)
- Picnic table
- Private fire ring
- Use of a group area with fire ring and benches
NOTE: Public showers, washrooms, cook shelter and split firewood are
located nearby.
What you should bring:
- Sleeping bags, blankets and pillows
- Warm clothing, flashlight, rain gear, day pack, sturdy walking shoes and water bottle
- Food, drinks and a water container (Campground water is potable)
- Inside slippers or shoes
- An axe
- Matches or lighter to start fire
Important information:
- Smoking is not permitted within the teepees
- For safety reasons, no cooking, storing or eating of food allowed inside the teepees
- Fires are not permitted in the teepees
- There are no electrical outlets on site
