Banff National Park is open year-round.

 

Visitor Centres

  • Visit either location for maps, brochures, permits, backcountry reservations, up-to-date park information, weather, trail, avalanche and road reports, interpretive exhibits and events.
  • Banff / Lake Louise Tourism has an office in the Banff Information Centre and in the Lake Louise Visitor Centre.

  • May 16 to June 19: 9 am - 6 pm
  • June 20 to September 5: 9 am - 7 pm
  • September 6 to May 15, 2014: 9 am - 5 pm

Village of Lake Louise, next to Samson Mall

Hours of Operation 2013-2014:

  • May 1 - June 13:  9 am - 5 pm
  • June 14 - September 1: 8:30 am - 7 pm
  • September 2 - October 14:  9 am - 5 pm
  • October 15, 2013 – April 30, 2014: The Visitor Centre will be open every day from 9 am – 4:30 pm but Parks Canada services will only be available Thursdays through Sundays. The Banff Lake Louise Tourism desk will be open seven days a week.

There are two townsites in the park, Banff and Lake Louise. Both offer a variety of services, accommodations, dining opportunities, shops and attractions. Contact Banff / Lake Louise Tourism for details.
