Current Twinning (Phase IIIB)

In November 2010, the four lanes of the divided highway lanes of the Trans-Canada Highway between Castle Junction and the Icefields Parkway Junction were completed. Although the lanes are now in place, on-going work related to fencing, aquatics restoration and landscaping projects will continue through 2012. The final 8.5 km of highway twinning between Lake Louise and the Alberta/British Columbia border is under construction and is anticipated to be completed in 2013.
