Public Participation

Parks Canada is committed to ongoing public involvement in park management. Canada’s national parks belong to the people of Canada. All citizens should feel confident they have an opportunity to participate in key decisions that affect their parks. This participation can take many forms, including advisory groups, open houses, and working groups.

The public participation component of the TCH IIIB Twinning Project has engaged interested citizens through the following activities:

  • open houses
  • site tours
  • special presentations
  • Stakeholder Advisory Committee
  • Canadian Environmental Assessment Agency public participation process

The TCH Project Team upholds Parks Canada’s Values and Principles by respecting all interested parties and individual viewpoints. All public input is carefully considered and, where feasible, adjustments to the project are made based on that input.

Thank you to all the organizations and individuals who have demonstrated extraordinary good will, hard work, cooperation and stewardship through their participation in this project.
