Doing Business in the National Park

Any business providing goods and services in Banff National Park must obtain a business licence. Businesses operating partly in the town and partly elsewhere in Banff National Park must have two licenses - one issued by Parks Canada and one from the Town of Banff. The license from Parks Canada must be obtained first.

Guided Adventures

Any company offering back-country guiding services in Banff National Park must obtain a guided outdoor activity licence prior to commencing guiding activities. Applications are accepted from April 1 to September 1 of each year to be assessed for the next operating season.
