Due to higher than normal snow pack and avalanche hazard the Moraine Lake Road will not be open for the May long weekend. Road clearing will continue when the avalanche hazard has passed. An opening date is weather-dependent and cannot be predicted at this time. Stay tuned for more information!

New Trail Connectors and Grooming
Parks Canada recently acquired a new snowmobile for better, faster, lower emission trail grooming. There are now 10 trails and over 50 km of groomed terrain for cross-country skiers in Lake Louise.

Upper Corral Creek and Hidden Lake Brook Trout Removal
In October 2011, Parks Canada donated almost 40 kg of brook trout from the Hidden Lake Restoration Project to the Alberta Birds of Prey Foundation near Lethbridge.
