  • Participate in interpretive programs at Point Pelee National Park of Canada and take advantage of the information provided in exhibits, publications and trail guides to learn more about species at risk.

  • Follow park guidelines. To help protect the vegetation, stay on the trails and respect the regulations.

  • Support and promote the protection of the remaining natural areas within the Carolinian Life Zone. One way to do this is by supporting land conservancies (land trusts) that are acquiring lands in order to protect them. You can even sign a conservation agreement with a land trust to ensure that natural areas on your property are protected forever!

  • Use native plants when landscaping your property. Obtain these plants from reputable sources that do not harm wild populations.

  • Remove non-native, invasive plants from your property.

  • Become an active supporter of conservation organizations.
