Built in Whitehorse, Yukon in 1922, the
S.S. Keno, like many other steamboats, plied northern rivers transporting ore from mines to larger commercial centers like Whitehorse and Dawson City. In 1960, Keno was moved to her present terrestrial berth in Dawson City along the Yukon River to be preserved as a testament to the age of lake and river sternwheeler steamers.
