In 2011, Parks Canada celebrated its 100th birthday. Throughout the year, every month, we presented our organization to you using a different theme and prepared wallpapers related to that theme. It is with great pride that we offer these wallpapers to you as a legacy of our centennial.

Peaceful beauty of a young mule deer!

No other national park in Canada protects so much wildlife within such a small area than Waterton Lakes National Park. In just 505 sq. km. (195 sq. miles), the park has over 250 bird species, more than 60 mammal species, 24 fish species, ten reptile and amphibian species, as well as thousands of species of insects, arthropods and other invertebrates.
