Whoop-Up Country was the Canadian Wild West and the Cypress Hills were a part of it. Farwell's Trading Post re-creates the atmosphere of the original 1872 whiskey post with refurbished buildings and costumed interpreters. Americans made fast money from the native people and Métis by exchanging trade goods and whiskey for buffalo hides.
