BOOKINGS

Phone 1-306-662-2645 after March 1st to place your booking. Please have the following information ready:

  • Proposed date and arrival time (and an alternative date or time).
  • Number of students, grade and the number of chaperones.
  • School's phone number, fax number, mailing address and a cell phone number

After Victoria Day please call 1-306-662-3590 for bookings.

Visitor Reception Centre

All groups are requested to report to the Visitor Reception Centre upon arrival. The attendant will collect your fees and provide your group with its itinerary.

At the Visitor Reception Centre students will have access to the museum exhibit, video theatre and the Outpost Concession and Gift Shoppe. In addition to souvenirs and snacks you may wish to pre-order your group's lunch through the concession. Information about food selection and lunch options are provided on the back of this sheet.

Internal Bus Service

The site's internal bus service will courier students between the Visitor Reception Centre, the site of the Cypress Hills Massacre and old Fort Walsh.

Fort Walsh School Group Program

Students will tour the historic fort buildings with a guide in period costume. During the tour students will be involved in a variety of activities which present the site's history. Students will learn about the role of Fort Walsh and the NWMP in shaping the Canadian west.

Please pay with a single transaction Cheques can be made payable to "The Receiver General for Canada." Please arrive at least 15 minutes prior to your scheduled tour time.
