Fort Battleford National Historic Site

Facilities and Services

The Visitor Centre welcomes and orients visitors to Fort Battleford NHS. The gift shop, concession, rest rooms, a water fountain, and the first aid station are also situated here.

Accessible Facilities

All buildings are wheelchair accessible. Electric scooters are available.

Gift Shop

There is a gift shop operated by the Battle River Settlement – Friends of Fort Battleford, located in the Visitor Centre.


There is a parking lot adjacent to the Visitor Centre with additional parking available on the grassed area next to the parking lot.

Picnic Area

There are picnic tables available near the parking lot as well as on the patio of the Visitor Centre.


There are snacks and beverages available at the concession.

RV and Bus Parking

The parking lot adjacent to the visitor centre has ample room for both RVs and buses. Additional parking is also available.


There are restrooms located in the Fort Battleford Visitor Centre.

Meetings and Conferences

There is a boardroom available for meeting and event rentals in the Visitor Centre. The room can accommodate up to 15 people. There is also space available in the main part of the Visitor Centre which can accommodate larger groups. Please contact the Battle River Settlement for booking information and rates.
