Facilities and Services

Special Needs Services:

  • Electric scooters are available.
  • All buildings are wheelchair accessible.

Visitor Reception Centre acts as an orientation area.

Food service consists of cold/hot drinks and snack foods.

Souvenir concession sells postcards, T-shirts, books and items relating to Fort Battleford.

The VRC is run by the Friends of Fort Battleford group.

Picnic tables and washroom facilities are adjacent to the site.

Extension programs are available.

Tours of the site can be booked. Guided tours of the site are available and costumed interpreters are found in and around the historic buildings. A modern interpretive display is housed within Barracks Five located just outside the stockade.

Accommodations, service stations, restaurants and shopping are all within five minutes driving distance of the fort.
