The towns of Saint-Ours and Saint-Roch-sur-Richelieu invite the public to come together on the Darvard Island for the first edition of this family celebration. Residents can come socialize over a picnic, games, and meet artisans while discovering various seasonal activities.

Come stretch your body in the open air through these courses offered by Céline Gariépy, every Monday and Wednesday, from 9:15 to 10:45 a.m.

Art Workshops

Every Saturday morning during of the warm season, Friends of the Saint-Ours Canal will offer artistic creation workshops under the supervision of a local artist. Marie-Ève Arpin has a degree in visual arts and is currently studying at the Université du Québec en Outaouais in the same field. Under her lead, you will be able to try different mediums like graphite, pastel, charcoal, and acrylic. All materials are provided.

New this summer, emerging local artists will have the chance to display their works at the Saint-Ours Canal site or take part in a vernissage at the Superintendent’s house, transformed into an exhibition hall for the occasion.

Tea Time

Every Sunday during the warm season, the Friends of the Canal invite you for tea and give you the opportunity to meet with special guests, and attend educational and historical events.
