The Saint-Thibault

The comité des loisirs des Vieilles Forges in collaboration with the Forges du Saint-Maurice invites you to the 4th edition of Saint-Thibault’s family picnic.

Join us and be a part of the different activities to emphasize the importance of the coalmen’s patron saint on the National Historic Site of the first Canadian industrial community.

Schedule

Starting at 10 a.m.:

  • Opening of the ironmaster's house and the blast furnace
  • 3D multimedia show every hour
  • Xplorers activities
    (for children of 6-12 years old)

10:30 a.m.:

  • Country outdoor mass

From 11:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m.:

  • Picnic and BBQ
    Hot-dogs sold by the comité des loisirs for $1 each

11:30 a.m. - 3:00 p.m.:

  • Pedestrian rally on site

11:45 a.m.:

  • Guided tour (5 $ per person + tx; free for children 6-; offered only in French)

1 p.m.:

  • Colonial militia demos
  • Artisanal kiosks
  • Birds of prey demos
  • Temporary tattoos and photo activity with Parks Canada employees

1:30 p.m.:

  • Country music show with Mr. Viateur Caron of Chanson via country

2 p.m.:

  • Guided tour (5 $ per person + tx; free for children 6-; offered only in French)

4 p.m.:

  • End of the activities

It is forbidden to bring alcohol on site
