Are you Worthy to Serve the Governor?
In Québec City, the viceroy of the colony needs to recruit people to serve him. He will choose a cook, a guard, a secretary, and a lady-in-waiting from the visitors in attendance. Those selected will face many challenges. Will they be worthy to serve the governor?

Chocolaty Time at the Château Saint-Louis
Penetrate into the mysteries of chocolate during an interactive, lively tasting. Governor Vaudreuil’s cook will welcome you for a tasting of exclusive chocolate prepared according to a recipe dating back to 1759. Want to taste? Who knows? Maybe you’ll get to be the cook’s helper for the governor’s “service de la bouche?”

Archaeological Dig

An archaeological dig at an authentic site with real artifacts. Grab your trowels and see for yourself what life was like for residents of the Saint-Louis forts and châteaux.

Themed Guided Tours

Take a guided tour through a one-of-a-kind archaeological site in North America! Your knowledgeable guide will reveal the secrets of the 200-year-old Saint-Louis forts and châteaux as well as their inhabitants. Tour themes vary by month.

Archaeology month
As part of Archéo-Québec’s archaeology month, Parks Canada will be presenting activities beneath the Dufferin Terrace on August 3 and 4, 2013.
Discover the remains in a brand new light! Explore the outbuildings of the Saint-Louis châteaux. Bring the whole family and take part in a host of archaeological activities, including presentations of some of the artifacts found in recent digs.
