Come visit the officer's quarters and go back in time, during the 1830's.

Constructed between 1821 and 1828, this building made it possible to gather under the same roof the officers who were stationed at île aux Noix.

Throughout your journey, you'll be fascinated by the architectural characteristics of the building. You'll discover, through historical reconstitutions, objects of the time, interactive stations and artefacts, the daily life of the officers who have lived on île aux Noix. Follow the steps of fort Lennox's officers and discover the particularities of the life in an advanced military post of early 19th century. Living room, dining room, bedroom and field furniture are yours to see.

Come inside the Commissariat Store and travel back in time to the period when the fort was built, from 1819 to 1829.

In order to block an American invasion of Montreal, it was therefore crucial, for the British army to protect the Lake Champlain-Richelieu River waterway. This is why they decided to built a fort on île aux Noix.
