How to Get There

Grosse Île and the Irish Memorial National Historic Site is located in the Isle-aux-Grues archipelago, 48 km east of Québec City.

From Berthier-sur-Mer, private ferry company Les Croisières Lachance can take you daily to Grosse-Île for a fee.

Seasonal ferry schedule

  • May 1 to June 23: Wednesday to Sunday
  • June 24 to September 1: Monday to Sunday
  • September 3 to October 12: Wednesday to Sunday

A number of factors may affect the ferry schedule, so we recommend contacting Les Croisières Lachance ahead of time to confirm the exact departure times for Grosse Île and the Irish Memorial National Historic Site.

To get to Berthier-sur-Mer from Québec City, head south over Pierre-Laporte bridge and take Highway 20 East toward Rivière-du-Loup. Get off at exit 364. Drive into Berthier-sur-Mer and follow the signs to the marina.
