A Victorian Christmas: with Singing and Gift-Giving
this Year!
As part of its Victorian Christmas exhibition featuring the origins and
traditions of the holiday season, the Sir George-Étienne-Cartier National Historic Site will be hosting singing workshops offered in collaboration
with the Montreal Intercultural Choir. Double your pleasure when you visit by giving a gift that will be contributed to the Guignolée du Dr. Julien fundraising campaign.
Singing workshops “Quand j’entends chanter”
Accompanied by eight choristers from the Montreal Intercultural Choir, participate in a singing workshop
that will introduce you to the basics of this art form. The workshop will end with a concert presented in the back
courtyard in the invigorating winter air. The workshops will be presented Saturdays, November 19, December 3 and 17, at 2 and 3 p.m., followed by a concert at 4 p.m.

Collecting of gifts for the Guignolée du Dr. Julien
Take advantage of your visit to the Cartier home to leave a gift that will be given to a disadvantaged child; all donations will be given to the Guignolée du Dr. Julien fundraising campaign on Saturday, December 17.
The Guignolée du Dr. Julien fundraising campaign, which brings a smile and offers hope to hundreds of children, has been in existence for eight years.
The mission of the Fondation du Dr Julien (Only in French) is to enable every child to develop his or her full
potential, in accordance with the Convention on the Rights of the Child. It promotes the development of community-based social pediatrics for the well-being of the greatest possible number of children.
Through its community-based social pediatrics model, the foundation aims to have an impact on the approaches used with vulnerable children in Quebec and to help institutions reach these children.
The temporary Victorian Christmas exhibition will be featured from November 16 to December 23, 2011, Wednesday to Sunday, from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.
