This year the Sir George-Étienne Cartier National Historic Site of Canada, which opened in 1985, is celebrating 25 years of education and cultural animation. The home of this illustrious political figure was restored to provide a place of discovery and a genuine trip back in time. It is the only Victorian interior open to the public in Montreal. Its lavish décor provides a setting for animations with characters who bring 19th-century ways and customs back to life.
