At first glance, the rapids seem to be a place that birds don't frequent. But that's not the case. Birds are indeed present, ranging from waterfowl to birds of prey and even herons, gulls, terns, shorebirds and swallows. The mini-conference accompanied by a slide show reveals the species that inhabit the rapids in particular at Coteau-du-Lac, a site that has become increasingly popular with bird watchers and photographers.
