Cartier-Brébeuf National Historic Site of Canada
What's New
2011, a Dynamite Year! Just Imagine 2012!
It’s official: Cartier-Brébeuf National Historic Site is “the” place for people of all ages to experience something beyond the ordinary. Now back in full swing, the Québec Parks Canada team and its partners have been busy providing the public with learning experiences about great moments in Canadian history. And it doesn’t stop there. Many more entertaining and informative activities unfolded throughout the past year. Here are just a few...
- Visitors attending Festi-vélo learned all there is to know about bicycles: maintenance, repair, mechanics, bicycle tourism and adventure. An unqualified success!
- The historic site was delighted to welcome over 5,000 circus fans during its two Jours de cirque activities.
- We extend our thanks to the Huron-Wendat and the Chinese, Italian, Chilean and Bhutanese cultural communities for their very successful Meeting of the Cultures. Some 2,500 visitors enjoyed a veritable feast of the senses at the event!
-
Arts in the Park captivated nearly 800 art lovers at a rustic festival that showcased over 30 up and coming artists and artisans.
- Cartier-Brébeuf National Historic Site is without a doubt the ideal venue to appreciate classical music. Numerous listeners delighted to the classical offerings of the Orchestre symphonique de Québec’s small ensembles and the Opéra de Québec's Brigade lyrique.
- Last but not least, Cartier Day provided festive family fun for one and all. And it’s no wonder, with a line-up that included face-painting, shows, tours, a small exotic petting zoo, "historic" fare to sample, an explorers' maze and Amerindian pottery workshops!
Parks Canada will most certainly be including all of these experiences on next year’s agenda. Pay a visit to our website for more information about the 2012 calendar of events.
