How the Locks Operate
Close to the Maison des Éclusiers(lock keeper's house), you can familiarise yourself with the lockage while discovering the spectacular site of the number 1 and number 2 locks.
The local interpretive panels are a great occasion for cyclists and pedestrians to learn about the history of the Lachine canal.
Ongoing Exhibitions
Historic photos and artifacts, old maps and plans and interactive games take you back to the great moments of a canal that was the predecessor of the St. Lawrence Seaway and the cradle of Canadian industry.
