This zone offers a splendid view of the downtown skyscrapers. This is where the canal's multipurpose path officially starts, extending the one from the Old Port and connecting up with the Parc-Jean-Drapeau path. But the main attraction here is the water. Excavated as part of the canal revitalization project, the Peel Basin has regained its previous layout and given Montréal a window onto the St. Lawrence. Linked to downtown by Peel Street, it is sure to become a regional hub for water sports.
