Historic canals co-operating associations (Friends of the Long-Sault Heritage,
Friends of the Sainte-Anne-de-Bellevue Canal, Friends of the Saint-Ours Canal,
Friends of the Chambly Canal) are non-profit associations, born from the common
goal of Parks Canada and local associations to promote and present Parks Canada's
National Historic Canals of Canada in Quebec. They participate in the elaboration
of public activities as well as the presentation of creative and useful community
projects. Moreover, they are particularly involved with young people to whom
they offer the possibilities to realize interesting and valorizing projects.
The co-operating associations organize thematic activities for all the family. They also offer welcoming services, interpretation, patrol and recreational services.
