A 15-minute biographical video on L. M. Montgomery, called A Celebration of Imagination: the Life of L.M. Montgomery, is available for use in the classroom. Scripted by respected Island writer Deirdre Kessler, this video highlights Montgomery’s life and accomplishments and the inspirations that guided her writing career. As it presents the historical context of Montgomery’s works and legacy it is an excellent supplementary resource for social studies as well as for language arts and English programs. The video is suitable for children in Grades 6 and up. It also provides an understanding of the significance of Green Gables to the author and her work.
