Parks Canada Invites Your Ideas for Lakefield Property

PETERBOROUGH, ONTARIO, February 9, 2012 – The Superintendent of the Trent-Severn Waterway National Historic Site of Canada invites residents, businesses and other interested parties to attend a public discussion about future uses of a Parks Canada owned river-front property in the Village of Lakefield within the Township of Smith-Ennismore-Lakefield. This public meeting will take place:

The property under discussion, located at 2 Smith Street, was previously used as an office and maintenance compound. Parks Canada is seeking suggestions to help define a vision and the widest possible number of options, for the benefit of the community.
