Come and explore the Trent-Severn Waterway during 2011. Come experience this National Historic Site in operation and take in the wonderful cities and towns along the way.
Throughout 2011 there are many events, festivals and must see destinations along the Trent-Severn Waterway so come and learn about our rich history this summer and have some fun along the way!
Come and experience the Tug Trent and enjoy the theatrical program that will bring the history of the waterway to life! Or check out the Wetland Discovery Trailer as it attends many events throughout Ontario this season.
Come and celebrate this season with us in honour of the Centennial of Parks Canada, Canada's First National Park Service!

Watch for the Trent-Severn Waterway's float in Peterborough's Canada Day Parade, starting at 12:00 on July 1, 2011. Drop by the Peterborough Lift Lock Visitor Centre all day for family fun!

The Trent-Severn Waterway Wetland Discovery Trailer will be celebrating Canada Day in Orillia. The celebrations include live music, a midway, giant birthday cake, parade, and much more!

Celebrate Canada Day on the Waterway! The Village of Hastings is hosting it's annual Canada Day festivities with many activities for all ages starting at the ball park at 1 PM.

Location: Peterborough, Ontario
Celebrate the Peterborough Lift Locks 107th birthday by visiting on Saturday July 9th. After watching a few boats go through the lock walk down to the Visitor Centre to learn even more about the historic Peterborough Lift Lock and the Trent-Severn Waterway.

July 16th is Parks Day in Canada! This year the Trent-Severn Waterway will be celebrating in both Peterborough and Toronto. The Toronto activities will be taking place on Centre Island with fun for everyone!

The Great Tug Trent Geocaching Adventure will begin at 1pm, when geocachers will receive a passport containing a set of coordinates for six geocaches, located near the Peterborough Lift Lock. The passport will be posted on Geocaching.com after 4pm on July 16th, 2011.

Location: Downtown Trenton, Ontario
Looking to catch the Tug Trent this summer? Then visit downtown Trenton for the Festival on the Bay presented by the Downtown Trenton Business Improvement Area. The Tug Trent will be open for tours and the historical theatre program will be performing several times throughout the three day festival.

Location: Port of Orillia
Parks Canada and Trent-Severn Waterway will be taking part in the Orillia Inwater Spring Boat, Cottage and Outdoor show taking place at the Port of Orillia. The tug Trent will be on hand and open to the public for tours along with an information tent. Also there will be theatre performances about the Trent-Severn Waterway throughout the day!

Balsam Lake, the highest point on the Trent-Severn Waterway, is also recognized as the highest point in North America from which you can circumnavigate the entire world (265.5 metres above sea level). To celebrate this special place Parks Canada invites you to join us in Coboconk on Saturday June 18th.

The Just Add Water Festival will take place on May 27-29 in the communities of Port Severn and Honey Harbour, at the gateway to both of these nationally significant places.
