Fort Malden Day Camp

Enlist The Troops in Fort Malden’s Day Camp. Fort Malden Day Camp is looking for adventurous young recruits to enjoy fun-filled experiences such as learning to cook 1812-style, dressing in period costumes, exploring an actual fort of the 19th century and much more. Fort Malden Murder Mystery
July 30
5:30 p.m. – 8 p.m.
$12.10 per person

Channel your inner detective as you help uncover a murderer in a classic “who done it?” with an historical twist! Explore the Fort to uncover clues and interview suspects with hopes of finding the guilty party. Prizes to be awarded for some and fun to be had by all! Military Heritage Days
July 30 & 31
$4.90 adult / $4.40 Senior / $3.40 youth / $11.70 family

Come to Fort Malden National Historic Site to see 2000 years of military history as we take you from Romans to Redcoats and beyond. The whole family will be blown away by muskets, cannons and music. Kids can participate in the Parks Canada Xplorer Scavenger Hunt, learn to march like a British Soldier, or dress up as a boat and participate in a water fight to recreate the Battle of Lake Erie. Discover even more through interactive opportunities, such as tactical and musical demonstrations, and various military encampments will be sure to inspire long lasting, unique memories for all.

ART by the RIVER (third party event)
August 27 & 28
10 a.m. – 5 p.m.
Admission: $5.00/ Children 12 & under enter free when accompanied by an adult.

ART by the RIVER, which is held annually the weekend before the Labour Day weekend is the major fundraiser for the Gibson Gallery. This Arts and Craft Festival, which was first held in 1967, is Essex County's original Arts & Crafts Show. It has grown into an end of summer tradition in Amherstburg, attracting 150 artists and artisans from across Ontario. 2016 will be the 50th anniversary of this event!

Windsor Essex Harvest Festival (third part event)

The W.E. Harvest festival will celebrate the rich agricultural heritage and local food and drink producers, promote a growing industry of locally grown food, craft beer, fruit and grape wines, distilleries and thoughtfully resourced restaurants. Haunted House at Fort Malden – Presented by Parks Canada and The House Youth Centre
October 27-30
Admission: $9.80 per person.

Take a frightening tour through Fort Malden at night. View horrifying scenes in the historic buildings. From executions to zombie soldiers, your senses will be tingling as you are guided to each vignette. Do you have what it takes to make it through this terrifying experience?

March Break Daily Workshops
Date: March 13-17, 2017
Admission: $6.05 for half day/ $24.50 for full day.

A different workshop is offered each day of the week. You can either register for our 1.5 hour programme, or fully immerse your child in a full day adventure at Fort Malden.
