What is a Management plan?

Parks Canada is reviewing the management plan for Niagara National Historic Sites. This updated plan will provide direction for the management of our sites over the next 10 years.

It is a key instrument for ensuring that Parks Canada delivers on its commitments to the people of Canada, and encourages Indigenous communities, stakeholders, partners, local residents and the public to have an effective voice in shaping the future of these sites. It is an opportunity to celebrate past successes, re-evaluate goals, and create new strategies for the future.

Your voice matters!

We thank all those who took some time to attend our public sessions and to provide feedback - your input is greatly appreciated. Further opportunities to provide comments and feedback on a draft version of the management plan will be available in the spring of 2016. In the meantime, you are invited to review our newsletter (PDF, 8.5 MB) which outlines our vision for the sites and the opportunities and challenges that will be addressed during the management plan review.
