Drum Major 41st Regiment Fort George© Parks Canada
Hi!...My name is Peter Alexander. I'm the Historic Music Co-ordinator for Fort George National Historic Site at Niagara National Historic Sites in Niagara-on-the-Lake Ontario, Canada. I am the Drum Major of The Fifes and Drums of the 41st Regiment of Foot or the Fort George Fife and Drum Corps. I've tried to summarize our programs and give the reader some cursory information on military music.
The Military Music pages that follow are divided into two sections. Military Music of 1812 is an overview of the history of fifes and drums including biographies, daily duties and some details about the Band of Music.
