Suited for meetings large and small
Set in the heart of downtown Halifax, the Halifax Citadel’s facilities are ideal for any large or small business meeting, dinner, reception, intimate wedding or gathering of your choice. You’ll find many options to choose from, such as our popular North Magazine Building, offering a total capacity of up to 120 guests within three beautifully appointed rooms. The North Magazine also offers a private and welcoming lobby area, perfect for a stand up reception before your event.
Planning a workshop or seminar with breakout sessions? Our North Front Casemates offer four adjoining rooms that can be easily connected and used for separate meeting spaces. If you’re looking for a more historic setting, we offer two Victorian period-style rooms in the Cavalier Building – the Soldiers’ Library and the Coffee Bar. Together or separate, the historic book-lined walls of the library and period furnishings offers a unique and intimate setting for dinners, meetings, receptions and special events.
Halifax Citadel at your service
The key to a great event is the added touches, the kind you’ll find at the Halifax Citadel. Our staff is available to help you with all of your requirements from selecting the right room and set up for your event to catering with a delightful menu of culinary delights. Parking on-site is just one more convenience that will make your event one your guests will remember forever. Let us know the type of event you want and we’ll help you make it happen.
Add life to your event
Steeped in history, the Halifax Citadel is brought to life with the kilted soldiers of the 78th Highland Regiment courtesy of the Halifax Citadel Regimental Association. Add some pomp and circumstance to your gathering with a touch of authenticity that will dazzle your guests. A guided tour of the fort, bagpiper playing in the distance or full military re-enactments will provide a spectacular addition to any event. These are just some of the offerings available at this 19th century jewel – call us today at (902) 426-7665 for more information about options and amenities.
