Cape Spear Lighthouse Historic Dinners
Dine by candlelight on gourmet cuisine prepared by some of Newfoundland and Labrador’s finest chefs while you enjoy stunning views overlooking the Atlantic Ocean from the 1836 Cape Spear Lighthouse.
Imagine candlelight flickering on the walls of Cape Spear’s authentically restored 19th century lightkeeper’s residence as you savour a truly unique dining experience. Take a table within the province’s oldest surviving lighthouse with its panoramic views across the wild Atlantic Ocean. Savour diverse and exquisitely prepared local cuisine. Some of the province’s finest gourmet chefs perform culinary magic here on Sundays throughout summer during the Cape Spear Lighthouse Historic Dinners experience. Enjoy old world ambience to the gentle tunes of traditional music and remember to watch the waters outside the windows – where else might you see a drifting iceberg while sipping cocktails or a breaching Humpback during dessert?
Dinners are hosted at the Cape Spear Lighthouse National Historic Site every Sunday from June 28, 2015 to August 23, 2015 at 6:00 p.m. A maximum of 26 people can attend each evening, where a three course meal is served. We add an element of surprise by letting the menu unknown to guests until the very beginning of the evening! For reservations, please call (709) 765-8483
*Please call 709-765-8483 to be added to the waitlist for a sold out event.
