Parks Canada in Your Community
We'll be out and about all season long. Here's a few places where you can find us!
2016 Outreach Events
Join us for a very special St. John's IceCaps game, 4:00 pm on April 10th. We'll be there, in person with activities for all ages. Learn the story of the 1916 Newfoundland Regiment Hockey team and visit us on the concourse to interpret the differences between 1916 and modern day hockey uniforms. Hang out with Parka and Buddy, get a cool airbrush tattoo, or take a seat in our red chairs! Don't forget to #sharethechair for your chance to win prizes! Stay in your seats for the second intermission when Parks Canada uniformed interpreters will show off at centre ice. It's going to be a blast.
Experience a taste of what Parks Canada in Eastern Newfoundland has to offer in one amazing location, Rocket Bakery!
On June 16th and 17th, join Parks Canada at Rocket Bakery and take the #TimeToConnect with our natural and cultural heritage. Enjoy fresh food, coffee, and sweets while participating in fun interpretation activities for all ages.
Plan your next camping adventure in Terra Nova National Park and get up close and personal with marine creatures who call Terra Nova icy waters their home with our miniature touch tank!
Learn how to split a fish without getting your hands dirty with our “Making Fish” program from the Ryan Premises National Historic Site!
Take an up close look at the equipment used by soldiers of the Royal Newfoundland Regiment during the First World War with a uniformed interpreter from Signal Hill National Historic Site.
And if you’d rather just relax and take it all in, have a seat in one of our red Adirondack chairs. Snap your pic and #ShareTheChair for a chance to win prizes!
Can’t wait to see you there!
